Milestones, recognition, fundraising….the list goes on!
This year, we’re hosting a virtual celebration of our 10 years helping local kids & young adults with cancer. Travel with us — across the country, through time and space — to share Connecting Champions kids’ & young adults’ stories past and present. Every attendee receives a “mystery toast box” at their doorstep with a fancy drink, pastry, and more (it’s a mystery)!
March Madness season brings together competitive teams of co-workers, friends, classmates and even next door neighbors — all for a winning bracket. But at Connecting Champions, it’s all for Friendship. During March to Friendship, we raise the stakes by giving teams the chance to make their bracket pools charitable.
Like the Oscars or GRAMMYS, our Night of Inspiration is our night to shine! Our mentors present young adults and kids with personalized accolades for their bravery and inspiring outlook during their cancer journey. Also in the lineup: hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and an inspirational story (or two or three or 44… ).
In Memory of Janet Lynne McAllister, the Masquerade Ball is held annually for an evening to dress ‘to the nines’, present the Guiding Light Award, and honor Janet’s wish to fundraise for those impacted by cancer.
Our virtual marathon is for participants anywhere in the world! Not a big runner? Take your dog for a walk! Don’t have a pet? Fundraise instead. Register as a runner or an ambassador to create friendships every step of the way–either way.
In 2020, we hosted our first-ever virtual toast — Toast to 250 — celebrating 250 friendships at Connecting Champions. 350 attendees from 30 states received a “mystery toast box” at their doorstep with a fancy drink, pastries, and more. Until the next toast….
