Base 2 Summit – offers an adventure-based weeklong program to help Young Adults (18-39) to trust their body again and to begin to heal their spirit in Northern Michigan. B2S is a FREE survivorship program that  goes in-depth with wellness, adventure, and connection. 

Cactus Cancer Society – Cactus Cancer Society’s mission is to provide a safe space where young adults (ages 18-45) facing cancer can connect, cope, and thrive with one another in an online community through creativity and expression. Our vision is to end isolation among young adults facing cancer.

Camp Mak-A-Dream – empowers survivors and their families to live with and beyond cancer through life-changing Montana experiences where they strengthen life skills, gain resilience, and develop lasting relationships.

Camp Quality – Camp Quality serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential.

Cancer and Careers -Cancer and Careers empowers and educates people with cancer to thrive in their workplace, by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events.

CancerCare – is the leading national organization dedicated to providing free, professional support services including resource navigation, counseling, support groups, educational workshops, publications and financial assistance. All CancerCare services are provided by master’s-prepared oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts. 

Caner Bridges -provides a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who has been impacted by cancer. This includes those with a cancer diagnosis, those who have a loved one with cancer, or have experienced the loss of a loved one due to cancer. The diagnosed family, friends, and caregivers who support them are welcome to join Cancer Bridges and receive the social, emotional, and informational tools they need.

Cool Kids Campaign – Our mission is devoted to improving the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients/survivors and their families by focusing on the academic, social and emotional needs brought on by a cancer diagnosis.

Cozy Cancer Corner for Young Adults – We warmly invite patients, survivors, and caregivers in their late teens to thirties to join us. We hope to build a community where we can support each other and conquer cancer together!

Dear Jack – Dear Jack addresses the physical and emotional needs of AYA cancer patients, survivors and their families. One-on-one patient support and wellness programs allow the Dear Jack Foundation to empower patients, survivors and their caregivers in their healing and to provide assurance that they are not alone in their cancer journey.

Elephants and Tea – Our mission to help adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients, survivors and caregivers know they are not alone in their fight with cancer. The Elephant in the room is cancer. Tea is the relief conversation provides. We are the only magazine written for and by the AYA cancer community telling their story in their own words.

Epic Experience – Epic Experience empowers adult cancer survivors and thrivers to live beyond cancer. (They offer outdoor adventures for Adult Survivors of Cancer)

Escape – Our vision is to cultivate a space for adolescent and young adult cancer patients to feel represented and to highlight LGBTQIA+ voices. We are a grassroots organization learning and working to best serve adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. Our goal is to provide equitable resources and support to those most overlooked in cancer care. We exist to highlight the voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, plus (LGBTQIA+) folx and cultivate an environment that is safe for self expression within the cancer community. 

Family Reach – is dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between cancer patients and their treatment — such as loss of income, increased out-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors. Family Reach’s free wrap-around financial services include financial education, resource navigation, financial coaching, and emergency relief grants. These services make up the Financial Treatment Program, which is available to people and families facing a pediatric, young adult, or adult cancer diagnosis. By helping families with the non-medical costs of cancer, the Financial Treatment Program relieves financial stress and creates space to focus on healing. [suggested to us]

First Descents – First Descents provides life changing outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions.

GreenPath Financial Wellness – GreenPath Financial Wellness is a trusted national nonprofit with more than 60-years of helping people build financial health and resiliency. Our NFCC-certified counselors give you options to manage credit card debt, student loans and homeownership. [a non-profit credit counseling agency suggested to us]

HopeCam – non-profit with the mission of using voice over Internet technology to help children with cancer overcome the burden of social isolation. By virtually connecting these children with their friends over a video conferencing application, Hopecam decreases the loneliness and anxiety they experience during this frightening time.  We provide the child with a tablet computer equipped with a webcam, Internet access in the home if the child is without, then work with the child’s school to persuade them to establish a regular connection with the child during which the child can participate in classroom activities, and see and talk with their friends.

Imerman Angels – Imerman Angels’ mission is to provide comfort and understanding for all cancer fighters, survivors, previvors and caregivers through a personalized, one-on-one connection with someone who has been there.

National Grace Foundation – The National GRACE Foundation provides FREE college admissions and financial aid counseling to pediatric cancer patients and survivors.

Next Step , is a non-profit that supports AYAs (16-29)cancer (or in survivorship), as well as individuals living with chronic illness (HIV, Sickle Cell, etc…) by creating peer support groups and experiences (often centered around music), as well as through peer mentorship. 

Nik’s Wish – Nik’s wish provides a make a wish experience for 18-24 year olds

Patients Empowerment Network – PEN’s mission is to fortify cancer patients and care partners with the knowledge and tools to boost their confidence, put them in control of their healthcare journey, and assist them in receiving the best, most personalized care available to ensure they have the best possible outcome.Their programs enhance patient health literacy to enable shared decision-making and provide informational and educational resources to empower patients and care partners at every step of their cancer journey.

Pickle’s Group – Pickles Group’s mission is to provide free peer-to-peer support and resources to kids who are impacted by their parent or guardian’s cancer. 

The Ruth Cheatham Foundation – The Ruth Cheatham Foundation helps teen cancer survivors pursue their dreams with financial aid for their education.

Special Day’s Camp – Special Days Camps exists to provide a safe and memorable camping opportunity in a medically-supervised environment for children who have experienced cancer and their siblings, servicing the entire family. We offer traditional camping activities, adapted to meet the special needs of our campers.

Sunrise Care Boxes – Sunrise Care Boxes are customized care packages for teenagers in Arizona with chronic, life threatening, or terminal illnesses.

The Same Fund – provides support to young adults who are struggling financially because of cancer. Through direct financial assistance and free online support and education, we help young adults survive and move forward with their lives after cancer.

Triage Cancer – Triage Cancer is a national, nonprofit organization that provides free education on the legal and practical issues that may impact individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, through  events, materials, and resources.

Ulman Foundation – We change lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. ( they a variety of resources for 15-40 year old cancer patients and survivors – everything from social, medical and financial resources)

UpStreet – UpStreet is a teen mental wellness program that offers drop-in consultations with therapists, scheduled therapy appointments, text-based peer support, and support groups for teens. UpStreet aims to reduce the stigma of seeking mental health support, to avoid escalation of symptoms to a crisis stage, and enhance teens’ quality of life.

We Got This – their mission is to build a community of giving and receiving that helps cancer thrivers and supporters live their best lives by giving participants the ability to create a registry (think wedding or baby registry) to help with all the things patients need.

Young Adult Survivors United – YASU is the largest community in Western PA for young adult cancer survivors and their co-survivors, providing them the ability to cope and thrive from emotional, social, and financial support under professional guidance and with peers who understand and can relate.

Young Survival Coalition -Young Survival Coalition (YSC) strengthens the community, addresses the unique needs, amplifies the voice and improves the quality of life of young adults affected by breast cancer, locally, nationally and internationally.
